The first issue of the Kenton County Observer newspaper was printed in 1994 with a mission to print good news instead of the bad. The editors were of the opinion that the bad news could be had just by turning on the television, the radio or by reading the other newspapers.
Apparently1 the people of Kenton County were in agreement since the paper was very popular and widely read. Within three months of it's first printing, readers asked for and received the free subscription service and advertising support saw an impressive surge.
By the end of the first year, reader surveys had been conducted and the Observer received high marks and continued ad support. New feature and content were added and the paper continued to grow even bigger and better. Throughout this time, the Editors and the staff never lost sight of their original concept of bringing the good news.
In 1996, a death in the family forced the editors to publish the final issue. This decision was made with regret, but with the situation being as it was there was no alternative or choice in the matter.
Now, the Observer is making it's return and the editors and staff are ready to publish the best Kenton County Observer newspaper ever. And as always, reader advice and comments are very much welcomed.
